^ One of the Spirit family favorites as well. Just saw this on local Cincy news a few minutes ago. A tragic day for Reds nation, family, and friends.

Was a Red for six years and batted .271, a "high motor" major leaguer.

This was really sad to hear was my sons favorite player when he was with the Reds we talked about him a lot last night. God be with his 7 year-old son, truly Ryan's biggest fan

I just pray for his family with it being so very close to Christmas. His family will certainly miss a great father, son, and husband this season. R.I.P. Ryan, you always were one of my favorite players because of your speed and range in the outfield!

One of the hardest working guys in all of baseball, despite his below average size.

Never an excuse for a cowards way out especially when you have a young child.

Loved watching him play, man did he have a motor, never saw any quit in him when he was on the field.
