Who sets your lineup?
#1
Just a question. Who makes out the starting lineup for your team?

I understand that. I am asking literally "who" makes out the lineup?

I have seen the head coach do it, but I have seen the scorekeeper do it also...It doesn't matter...I would think that the lineup is decided on by the coaching staff and then put down on the lineup card.

Thank you. I have seen other teams do it this way. It makes sense.

the coaching staff at lc sets all lineups.the lineup varies depending on what team they are playing.such things as bunt offense/defense,outfield speed/strength,pitching offense/defense,injury management, scouting reports, game film, speed on the bases all determine the line-up on both offense and defense.there is a core group but several positions change as needed.

Sounds like a plan! I just didn't know if players came in and told the coach where they wanted to play and then got to play there. This has happened w/ us lately.
