1. Scott County- In a disappointing playoffs for the region, Scott County stood out pushing 6A Champ Trinity to the brink.
2. Franklin County- The Fliers perfect season came to a halt in the Regional Finals, but they equated themselves well as a legit 5A contender.
3. Lexington Catholic- The Knights had the resume and a 6A Semi-Final game against Highlands could have kept them at #2...but then the Birds went Hitchcock and exposed the Knights as a pretender.
4. Boyle County- The Rebels struggled in the regular season and suffered some upsets, but a very nice win @ Russell County and a close but no cigar loss to LexCath keep them in the Top 5.
5. Bourbon County- The Colonels almost saw the pieces fall in place for a major jump. They looked like a buzzsaw through the Regional Finals...then they met Belfry. Despite being dominated, their resume puts them ahead of the other CKY teams who met their demise.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with this list but how can you call Lex Cath a pretender just because they lost big against arguably the best team or the 2nd best team in the state. If we make 1 catch right before halftime.....we would be tied at 28-28 .........assuming we drove our opening possession down and scored like we did in the game.......do I think we would of won the game? No. FTH is just as good as advertised or better. If you think that Franklin County would of fared any better then your on crack. But then again...that's just your opinion...and you know what's great about opinions..........
