World Trade Center will be released August 9, 2006. It is the true story of Will Jimeno and John McLoughlin, two Port Authority police officers who rushed into the burning World Trade Center on 9/11 to help rescue people, but became trapped themselves when the tower collapsed. A race against time ensued to free them before their air ran out.
Is it too early for a film like this? I know that there was United 93 but something about the Twin Towers?

I think it will always be too early because it will be like making money off something that was the most brutal thing in the history of this country, plus, for so many people to sit there and say "my family member/friend/spouse died in what they're showing."

So Pearl Harbor was too soon? Or Black Hawk down? Is it wrong to make a move based on a true story where anyone died?

I hope the two mens family are going to make the money off the movie. I know that the money won't fill the void but they should get something for their loses.

It's different, those were in times of war, and about soldiers (mostly, I know there's some civilians), and this is about replaying an event of around 3000 people slaughtered for no reason, and with no capturing the people who did it (I know it's all confusing for me and other people right now). This is just saying "Ok, we weren't in war or anything, but here's a replay of your loved ones dying."
