Tennessee St 23 Eastern Kentucky 20
#1
Final!

Looks like this one was just as good as advertised. Hate to see a KY team lose to a Tenn team, but keep your heads up Eastern. The potential there is pretty good this year.

Does this mean that they will not win the OVC?

No, but they are going to need Tennessee St to lose 1 game to tie them. For EKU to get the automatic playoff bid they (EKU) will need to run the table plus have Tennessee St lose two OVC games. It's possible but going to be tough. :HitWall:

Close game.. I Like both teams, like EKU better of course though.

Tough loss. This is one that Eastern should have won. The Colonels just left too many points on the field. The missed chip shot field goal cost them 3 points and TJ slipped and lost 3 yard while taking the snap on 2nd and goal from the 1 cost them 4 more. It was just a day that the breaks didn't go EKU's way. The defense was dominating when the punt returner decided to try and field a punt on a hop, got hit and fumbled led to TSU's first score. Then with about 5 minutes to go Eastern went for a 4th and 9 and it looked like Tyrone Goard was going to make a first down catch but lost his footing and couldn't get his arms under the ball. The Tigers also managed to complete a 3rd and 17 pass to get a first down on the final drive. Just one of those days. After watching TSU, they are good but UT Martin is definitely capable of beating them and EIU can score on anyone. Even if EKU doesn't win the OVC I think they can get an at large bid if they can win out.
