Jenkins 38 Allen Central 16
#1
Jenkins moves to 2-0. Checked records back to 1998. And haven't been 2-0 since before then.
#2
Nice win! Any more information on this game?
#3
Wasn't there. Just posting the score.
#4
Neither game has been close, Jenkins would be looking at a #2 if they were in District 8, between the Cavs and SF.

Congrats Jenkins, awesome for their community.
#5
They have played outstanding football both weeks. Coach Ratliff and Coach Colwell have turned this program around.

1993 was the last time Jenkins started 2-0 (started 6-0 that year). Good to see these kids come out and play inspired football after their "coach" left them without so much as a notice a week before the season began (he done them a favor. Isnt he something like 6-800 for his career? lol..). Regardless, its a nice early season story. Way to go, Cavs Smile

Great going Cavs. This has to big for the team and community.

Congratulations to a much improved Jenkins team. A potential Home Field playoff game for both teams could be riding on next weeks game vs South Floyd. Sounds like it will a very competitive ball game this year.

Jenkins and South Floyd are no longer in the same district. I should have made it more clear that is was hypothetical lol.

I think Jenkins is in with Harlan, Hazard, and Pineville now.

Eric is a great coach who knows what he's doing. I'm glad to see Coach Ratliff still chugging along.

Thanks PT. I keep forgetting there are now only 4 teams in our district. Allen Central, Pikeville, Phelps and South Floyd..

Everybody makes the playoffs Confusederiously:

I told you Jenkins would be 2-0.. Nice win.

Next week on the road @ South Floyd....

And the following week, Paintsville makes the trip up Rt. 23.... I can never remember Jenkins beating Paintsville. If Jenkins beats Paintsville at home and goes to 4-0, they might need some new goal posts.

Congrats

It's official Jenkins is for real. I would like to say congratulation's to Jenkins Cavalier's and to the whole community of Jenkins. Its be a long time since you all have had a good football team to cheer on so don't sit at the house an listen on the radio get out to the games and cheer them on. I am happy that I was wrong about this game as I had said that Allen Central would win. This is a great thing happening for the tiny community of Jenkins. I will be rooting for Jenkins to continue this great season.

Glad to see I was wrong on this game.

Those kids are playing tough and getting better each week, Go Cavs
#22
Congrates to Jenkins on their 2-0 start. But the schedule towards the end get very hard for them.
#23
^ I agree, after seeing what they have done these first 2 games they have a great shot at starting 6-0, but after that its gonna get tougher.
#24
Last time they was 2-0, I was a junior in high school there.
