You lost by 17 in the only meeting. East Ridge is 17-12 for a reason and Sheldon Clark is 26-6 for a reason. They've been the best team in the region all year long and solidified that Saturday night after they beat JC handily for the 2nd straight time.

Like I said, there is a reason they are 17-12. What else is there to look at? I don't think East Ridge will show up and lay down for Sheldon Clark but according to the more knowledgeable people on here, they'll have to do a bunch of different things in order to win. I just wonder how many times they have played a game this season that they've executed these mentioned things. If ER and SC both play to the best of their ability, SC wins by 7+. I've witnessed many of upsets in high school sports and would not be surprised a bit by Sheldon Clark getting beat but I don' think it happens. I've watched this team for two years now and know their trends, in how they play. They are clearly in an "up" trend right now and with perfect timing.

And if it were just a regular season game, and ray was not playing in this one either,, i would agree with you and say SC.. But IT AINT.. and thats why they dont just give the trophy to the team with the best record. If you remember last year everyone thought Betsy Layne was the best team.

Card nation showing strong support considering most of them have never witnessed Kasongo play. Kudos.

The team who comes out and plays their hearts out are going to walk away with the W. this time Of year it's all about who wants it more and who will play every play as hard as they can go. I think ER will play hard but hopefully the cards can pick up the W

You are right, E.R. is 17-12, you are also right, S.C. handled them pretty easily in the regular season, you are right that S.C. has the best record in the 15th, you are right they handled J.C. in the district championships, and you are right that S.C. is and should be the favorite in the Regional Tournament...... Problem is, throw all this out! In the Regional Tourney, everyone is 0-0 and everything that happened in the regular season means nothing come tournament time. E.R. matches up with S.C. a lot better than you think. I know Kosongo is a big question mark, but even with him on the floor, he's tough to get around, and he's a threat. E.R. also has 2 other guys that can get you if they are on, plus they have an improved bench. You better expect a battle, anything less than that, you are setting yourself up for an upset.

"according to the more knowledgeable people on here"...... by cracky, I believe I'm the recipient of an insult.. Listen, yes, they do need to be more consistent doing a few things. First and foremost, Kosongo needs to be active on both ends of the floor, and the teammates need to get him involved. Really, that's about it. All other factors are even between the teams in terms of "so and so needs to be on with their perimeter shots" and blah blah. I guarantee you I've witnessed quite a few more upsets than you over the years. I don't care what your knowledge of their trends is, when it is tourney time, all that goes out with the bathwater. Y'all got beat twice by Perry Central. Ask THEM what happens when you overlook someone.

Not directed toward you at all. I was referring to a few people who posted on the first page of this thread. They listed things that ER needed to do in order to win and I was just curious as to how much better can people expect them to perform this late in the season. I've told people(SC coaches included) for a few weeks now, that I thought Sheldon Clark was number 1, with Pikeville & ER right behind them. My posts may come off as a little biased at times but I am well aware that there are 3-4 other teams in this tourney who can beat us. I indeed do think SC is the favorite as they have earned that label by going 26-6 with a pretty good schedule for a young 15th region team.

SC moves on easily......68-46

I think that during tournament time anything can happen. I do believe that SC has been playing pretty good as of late and they are hungry for the title and a trip to the sweet 16. All 5 starters have got to be ready to play with the intensity that they played with in the district. If the boys are hitting their 3's and they are rebounding and hitting FT's we should come home with the win. Good luck CARDS!!!! Hope to follow you to the sweet 16!

Will be staying whether Belfry gets the W or takes the L for this. Don't know if it's been discussed but who will try to guard Wolter?

^Zone defense. After watching last night, I 100% feel the winner of this game goes to Rupp.

i hope someone tells ray how big this game is and to not let the crowd ge in his head i think he can be one heck of a player. also he knows if he makes it to the sweet sixteen he can make a bigger name for hisself. good luck to the warriors

D IT UP Wrote:Sheldon Clark plays anything like they did in the district championship, then this'll be a 11-14 point game. The previous time these two met, SC was playing there 3rd game in 3 days and following trips to South Floyd & Pineville. ER was without the big man and SC was without their head coach. I hear comments all the time from throughout the region that ER is a better basketball team when Konsongo isn't playing. Athletically speaking, I liked what ER had going on and was surprised with them a bit. SC is on a mission right now and will not be stopped.
Your comment was just plain stupid. Anybody on any given night can be defeated in the 15th region.

For the record East Ridge is now 18-12 and Sheldon Clark is 26-7. Does this now mean that East Ridge is the best team in the 15th?
