Matt Day All-Time Leading Scorer at Buckhorn
#1
Matt Day is now Buckhorn's all-time leading scorer, and still has 2 regular season games left. Matt Day was already the schools all-time leader in rebounds.

Congrats to Matt Day...

I'm pretty young so that's why I threw in the "Maybe" lol
I'm just going from what I've seen.

Matt has been a great player to watch at Buckhorn. He will go down as one of the best players to come out of Buckhorn. Kenneth and Jody were two greats for sure. Dwayne Deaton was another good one. Congrats Matt on two great accomplishments and on a great career.

WOW! It seems rare to see someone become the all time scorer at a school in recent years. He already was the all time rebounder.

I have never ever seen Buckhorn play, but looking at pure numbers when you have more points AND more rebounds than anyone else, it is hard to say they are not the best. The only stat that could trump that would be wins. If someone lead Buckhorn to a title and was a scoring machine, that would trump.

I have seen all the guys mentioned above. Matt Day is head and shoulders better than Jody Noble, Kenneth Neace, and Dewayne Deaton. Those three guys were good but Matt with his size, rebounding, and scoring ability, its not even close. Matt is the best I have ever saw in 20 some years at Buckhorn.

Matt has done a lot of his with less than those others had on their side. The teams that won the region was not a 1 man show for sure. Matt is easily one of the best players to ever come out of Buckhorn. Put him on a team that had another pure scorer as the teams Neace, Noble, and Deaton played on and this team would be a lock for the region this year. However, this is a good Buckhorn team with a great player and we will not see another like him in awhile. Hope I'm wrong on that last statemen.

Congrats Day, nice accomplishments.

Congrats Matt! He is the best to play at Buckhorn IMO. Neace had the guard skills, Noble were a really good high school player, even better dust bowl player, could score at will. Matt has the potential to combine all of the skills that Neace and Noble both had and turn it into a successful college career. I think he can play at the mid major level after a year or two of seasoning. I could see him being a productive player at the mid major level his jr and sr year, if he works hard, puts on some weight, and fits in the right system.

It must really be a great accomplishment for Day to be the leading scorer at Buckhorn after all of the greats to come through that system!
