Sad news, occurring 100 years after the Titanic wreck. Prayers go out to all.

Something seems odd to me about this one....
1. How did they hit anything with the sonar and other things we have in ships today. Also, reefs are charted so that people miss them.
2. Why did they leave before everyone was accounted for? Letss hope they are not that big of cowards.
3. Why did some people float around and wait to be saved by rescue boats, when there was literally a shore 10 feet from the boat? Could they not get there because of the tides washing them back out or something?

He's being investigated for much, much more too, we just don't get to hear about that stuff. He has a lot of explaining to do.
The image of that ship on its side is crazy

The captain's response to leaving the ship was that he "tripped and fell into a life boat".....he said he couldn't get out due to the chaos. However, the life boat sat there for an hour before being deployed.
I am curious to know if any passengers questioned him for being on the life boat and what his response was.

But now his lawyer is saying that he never boarded a lifeboat.
