Paintsville has been bad since Runyon left. Ratliff hasn't has the best talent in the world but he has had good enough talent to win the 57th and compete in the 15th, which he hasn't done. I would love to see Bill Mike let someone else take over the football program and see him take the basketball job. Runyon is a great basketball coach and he knows how to win. Runyon would have those boys playing with Paintsville pride like they used to.

It would be unusual for runyon to coach on a court named after him lol. But the program has lost to some good teams this year. Wait till after the district tourney before calling for ratliff's head.

That is a common trend with BRM. When the school has talent he will be there and when they dont he will leave. Done it with football after losing 20 SRs his only year coaching them and left after he lost 6 SRs in bball. If he sees a talent situation that is not favorable he washes his hands. Ratliff hasnt had the best talent...football hasnt had the best talent and baseball hasnt either. 2 of the 3 can be contributed to the same person for the Buddy Ball Leage Garry McKenzie started going to waste and the once proud Little Leage being run in the ground.

So you don't like the coach and his assistants at PHS. Great,fantastic,wonderful and all those things. With the available data it is imposssible to put on a defense for coach Ratliff. Now if you want that change,come from behind the wall and go to the Admin.,Schoolboard and etc. I have heard a lot of slams coming from your little community but no basketball. Surely "The Little People" have a replacement in mind. The players should probably all quit until next year when this can get straightened out. The big problem with your Crusade is that you are slaming the Players ,Families,Community,School and A Long Standing Basketball Program.Most of all you are tarnishing the color Blue,quite frankly helping make it the neg. for sports in E-ky. Just Wondering how many years of Athletic experience does this pod bring to the table. Usually not much. NFR/MCH

I would say, give it one more year. :biggrin: I see Cherico taking over the football team after BMR does a year there, and BMR coming back to basketball. I thought this might happen when BMR brought Cherico on as an assistant with football, and rumors are confirming my thoughts. We will just have to wait and see.

Trolls theres that word again lol....But anyways its not the players fault....They got out coached in the MC game....the same thing has been going on the past 4 years....Is everyone wearing blinders??????? Mr. Hustle I would like you to know I have several years experience as a coach. All the way from peewee leagues up to the pros....I coach as well as anyone from the armchair or bleachers:popcorn:...so my resume is a godd as anyone elses on here....The only ones making a mockery of the Paintsville program are the TROLLS who defend under qualified, under experinced so called wannabe coaches. They like to blame the TALENT.....Whose job is it to develope talent anyways????

Until I get a anwser and this came from me Don Won.. That is if someone knows, if not OK. With all the BS going on at Pville, no coach can get it straightned up. If the BS stops i think coach ratliff can get it back on track. I watched the panorama games at Johnson Central at the beginning of the season and seen them setting in the stands! So Im sure with all the no it alls on here, someone knows what went on.

Frank you certainly have drawn some interesting conclusions in the above post. First of all with respect to BMR and Football. Could it possibly be that Runyon was merely an interim coach for the football team for one year between Lemaster and Allen. During that time he had a good group of kids and went 10-3. There are those who would say that BMR has really not proved himself as a Football Head Coach. As to Basketball I am not sure how many years he was the Head Coach,but have you even considered the retirement factor after all those years?(Washing Hands?) Paintsville Youth programs have set the Bar for years in EKy. This is especially true in baseball. If you have seen a District Little League Tournament in the last 20 years you should understand. There have been many names associated with this process: Cobb Clay,Ford Ferguson,Garry McKenzie,Bob Lyons and many many more.

Yes, they have had others quit! I know of at least 3 other kids that have quit! I have been hearing that the coach cant stay off of the sauce! I have even heard, just a few minutes ago, that he was so intoxicated that they left a kid off of the bus while they were in Morgan Co. getting abused!

No! What needs done is doing something to put a stop to the wrong doings that are going on. Quit blamming the kids and start looking at the top to fix things!
