Manual 'D' too much for Male (From Courier Journal)

The Manual High School girls’ basketball team used three senior guards and a suffocating defense to beat rival Male 79-43 Friday night.

The Crimsons (3-0) forced 29 turnovers, led by seven steals from Leasia Wright, who also led the team with 17 points. Kara Wright (no relation) added 13 points, and April Wilson had 12 points and six steals.

Manual raced to a 22-7 lead and never trailed in the matchup of unbeaten teams.

Andrea Owen scored 11 for the Bulldogs (3-1).

According to the paper it looks like Manual jumped out hard and fast and never looked back.
