Powell County @ Lewis County 11/4 (3A Playoffs)
#1
Who wins and why?

My heart says Lewis County, but from what I am hearing they are satisfied with their 8-2 season and wins over Mason and Russell. Powell County may come away with one...actually 2 because they beat them earlier this year 25-6.

Its hard to beat a team twice in one season... I'll take Lewis in this game, they are scrappy and always find a way to win...

Lewis county has made tremendous improvement this season. Their D has been very solid.
Huge win for the program over Russell. Powell has a team that has been together for a long time, they are good enough to make it to the regional finals. Coach Burchett has done a great job over there. Powell beat Pike Central, who in all honesty is better then anybody in that region.

Opinion #1 possibly but thats why they finished 4th in their district.

Opinion #2 Refer to Opinion #1 when you say better than any one in the region.:please:

Powell has the potential to beat any team in the region but they could also lose in the 1st round. The score indicate to me that since the Garrard game they realized they aren't invincible and may have given up. If Powell hasn't given up they should win this game, offensively they are better with the QB, Jones, and Taulbee. If they are ready for basketball season then Lewis will win.

Having seen both in action, Lewis comes out hot, takes a lead, then Powell wears them out in the second half.

Powell 36
Lewis 14

I have seen all but 2 of the teams in this region in action and in my opinion, District 5 will be 3-1 in the first round vs. District 6. The only possible win I see for District 6 is Russell over Western Hills. 4-0 in round 1 is definately on the table.
