Well, it was another disappointing loss for the Maroons. It was a great game for the first 2.5 quarters!
Congrats Lakers!

Heck of a game for the LAKERS!
I don't think this game was closer than the score indicated at all.
The Lakers received the opening kick only to fumble on their first play from scrimmage. The defense held strong and the next offensive play resulted in a Nick Britt 78-yard TD run. Russell Co went up 13-0 early only to allow Pulaski back in it on multiple fumbles, an interception, and the QB giving up sacks on 3rd downs moving them out of FG position. By the end of the fist half Pulaski was up 21-20.
The opening kick after half resulted in a 99-yard KO return (Actually one foot was in the end zone but wasn't called) by Pulaski. Russell Co turned around and returned the next kick for a TD. In the first 2:45 of the 3rd there were two TDs and a Laker FG. From that point on it was all Lakers because they took better care of the ball and field position.
Nick Britt had another great game and ended with somewhere around 180 yards & 4 TD on the ground.

i think lakers was only up by 8 or 9 in the midway 4th before pulaski turned the ball over on downs in there territory leading to another quick score i left around 3 or 4 minutes left and they scored again later sometime after i lefted, like i said congrats to the lakers, wouldnt shocked me if they win there district

The Lakers did take on two TDs in the last 8 minutes or so. If we had taken care of the ball better this could have been really ugly fast. I think we had 6 fumbles (4 lost) and threw 1 int.
As far as the district, we have two really good teams to go through to win the district, and can't be careless with the ball with either. We'll see how the Rockcastle - Pulaski game goes next week, but unfortunately for PC it looks as though they could easily end up 1-3 with all the losses coming from a 2A and two 4A teams. They are much better than their record will show.
