LOSERS QUIT WHEN THEY'RE TIRED, WINNERS QUIT WHEN THEY HAVE WON

I don't think that Hazard is the 4. If they find a QB, we might see Hazard back at state again.

Isn't Blanton their QB?

Thanks KHSAA for moving us to a District with TWO Top 10 teams!

I think Raceland is a little high right now with the teams they are playing this year. This team may be ready come playoffs if nobody gets hurt in key positions.
#6
Well Raceland plays Pikeville and Fairview in the regular season, so it can go either way. We can move up one spot or stay the same or move down a spot. Either way, Raceland will continue to work hard in the very near future to improve. Good luck to all the teams this year and lets have some good games!!
#7
Ranking looks good but id only switch Hazard and Louisville Holy Cross and then its perfect in my opinion.
#8
Mayfield may a joke of the 1A class playoff last season, theyre isnt a team that will stay within 40 points of them in this class.
#9
^ I think Mayfield could win the A finals in a running clock regardless of who they play
#10
Looks about right. Although I see fairview above raceland. Weak line but raceland doesn't have a strong line either. Their offense may be a bit better than ours and their defense may end up alot better than ours. I look to see Beechwood and Mayfield in the finals. Never doubt Beechwood! Alot of money is pumped into that programs although it's dwindled down from what it used to be.

Beechwood and Mayfield would meet in the 4th round to decide who goes to the finals from the west.

Beechwood is big, fast and loaded this year. I will be surprised if they aren't playing for the Class A Championship this year.
#13
IF I have a kid, I am gonna name him "Pikeville" So he will always be ranked without having to do anything.
#14
After looking I retract my previous statement. I am not used to looking at this new system. The game of the playoffs will be beechwood/mayfield. The winner of that takes the cake. Although dont look past teams like hazard. They have proven they can play. I love those mountain teams. They hit hard! And punish the opposing offense!
#15
I won't doubt Pikeville either. Had these classes been set up this year in previous years past Pikeville may have appeared in a state title or two. If only it were setup this way 10 years ago... Sigh.

Class A is not balanced as far as teams. All the good teams are in the west region and the west will always win out.

West
Mayfield
Beechwood
Russellville
Lou. Holy Cross
Frankfort

East
Raceland
Hazard

You better have a pretty big house to store all his trophies in.

IMO I think your giving 2 many teams in the West the benifit of being contenders. I watched Russellville scrimmage Glasgow and even Russellville fans said they are a very young team. Frankfort and Holy Cross isn't on the same level as Mayfield or Beechwood. So actually it's balance 2 teams in the west with a shot, and actually I don't think Raceland can compete with Hazard with the talent they have coming back.
#20
We probably can't compete with Hazard or Pikeville this year. the schedule that we are playing this year was meant for a team 2 years down the road. our Team is 2/3rds sophomores and freshmen with another 15-20 freshmen coming in next year with a really good 8th grade behind them. This year will be a tuneup for the next 5 to 6 years.
