Yes, they tried to get Stevens, but he turned them down. He's either going to be at Butler forever, or he's waiting on IU to open.

^Yes. Kids are gonna look at his record and going to 2 straight national championships with a school named Butler? No body ever knew who Butler was, but now you do! And recruits are gonna look at this guy and.. I wanna play for that guy. And if he gets big time recruits. He'll be a powerhouse wherever he's coaching.

I personally think Tom Crean will turn the IU progranm around and be around as long as he wants....IMO Stevens made a bad decision by not taking the Maryland job because he will not be able to replicate what he has done at Butler again.
