The top three girlsâ statewide in the Class of 2012 have already committed to colleges outside of the state of Kentucky.
It was tough to decide between those three but after that I feel like thereâs a bit of a drop off as far as kids who project into the college game.
Itâs not a bad class, but itâs just not very deep.
Hereâs the top 25:
⢠1. Sydney Moss, Boone County, 5-11: The Florida commitment is the daughter of NFL wide receiver Randy Moss and the most athletic player in the state.
⢠2. Jenna Crittendon, Ryle, 5-10: The Xavier commitment is so versatile.
⢠3. April Wilson, Manual, 5-8: Would the Lady Crimsons have won the state title last March had the Purdue commitment not been injured?
⢠4. Kendall Noble, Perry County Central, 5-10: Had offseason knee surgery but should be ready to go before the start of the season.
⢠5. Bre Elder, Marion County, 5-9: She sometimes gets overlooked because of her talented teammates a year younger, but Elder can flat play.
⢠6. Kara Wright, Manual, 5-10
⢠7. Rianna Gayheart, Owen County, 5-7
⢠8. Ashli Mayes, Franklin County, 5-10
⢠9. Jasmine Whitfield, South Oldham, 5-10
⢠10. Caylon Bybee, 6-1, Monroe County
⢠11. Megan Pittman, Casey County, 5-11
⢠12. Micah Jones, Green County, 5-8
⢠13. LeAsia Wright, Manual, 5-7
⢠14. Haley Armstrong, Murray, 5-8
⢠15. Ashley Cheesman, Ryle, 5-7
⢠16. Peyton Hisel, Tates Creek, 6-1
⢠17. Asia Nichols, Eastern, 5-7
⢠18. Kristin Jacob, Lexington Christian, 6-1
⢠19. Alex Botkin, Lexington Catholic, 6-0
⢠20. Lindsey Burd, Hart County, 5-11
⢠21. Sydney Brown, Anderson County, 6-1
⢠22. Catie Fletcher, Woodford County, 5-11
⢠23. Martessia Williams, Christian County, 5-8
⢠24. Lauren Bodine, Manual, 5-9
⢠25. Nikole Isabel, Bullitt East, 5-9

I think that this is a great list. I don't think I would change anything.

Agreed.
Also, Megan Pittman will get a lot more love now that she is healthy. Very good player that was overshadowed by Hammond in the 12th Region.
