Id have to say From valley it would be Rusty Roberts

Is Clark the kid that played third base and hit left handed? If so he is one of the better players in the region. Not only skill-wise, but he plays with a lot of passion and purpose, and most kids his age have a hard time funneling that type of emotion into bettering themselves on the field.

Yeah Id say Clark Keene is the best in the District by far. Glove, Sitck, and Speed.

Definetely, I was hoping I had his name right? Clark is a tremendous player and a very rare type player as well. He is the type of kid that you can sit back and say, "I wish I had 8 more just like him?" He has something you can't teach! He has respect for the game as well as a competitive "refuse to lose" type attitude that becomes a domino affect on his other players. They all feed off that energy and I think thats why they've been so successful the past couple of years?

Does anyone know where he is going to school if anywhere?

Clark Kenne from Pikeville for sure. Don't underestimate Cody Justice from East Ridge, the kid goes unnoticed but has some definite skill.

No doubt about it bub! I heard UK offered him but he is holding out to see if he can get drafted straight outta HS

East Ridge has a few that go unnoticed that have a lot of skill like, cody justice, colby little, and tyler bentley.

Huh? Your telling me there is a player from Valley that got offered a scholarship to UK? He can still commit to a college and get drafted? Something about this doesn't seem right at all?

Yeah and Piarist has a Golf team. Pikevilles first 9 is better then anyone on any other 59th team in my opinion

A few Junior Colleges want him, I think he wants to wait and see if he can do NCAA before committing.

A lot of good players in the 59th, but Clark Keene gets my vote.
#14
Well I wish Clark the best, he is a good kid. I'd love for Mr. Onion Head to elaborate on the kid from SV because he really must be an amazing talent? I've never seen him play so if he is that good I'd like to hear more about him?
#15
Gavin Miller from Pikeville!!
#16
i watched valley play twice last year after cody varney quit and from what i saw the robinson kid is the only one that could play a lick

agreed pikeville has a great team. but the 1-9 isnt better than anybody in the district. east ridge's cody justice can play with anyone in the 59th. speed, hes got it. the glove, hes got it. the stick, hes got it. east ridge beat pikeville at their place last year. i believe they won that ame for one reason. justice was injured during the game and was taken to the hospital. after this happened in the 4th inning, you could see an entire new look on that team. it was the look of complete determination to win that game for their teammate. in my opinion the "heart of the team." thats what you call leadership from a player.
i hope to see some great games in 59th this year.

the top players from the 59th are from pikeville. ones i know of clark keene, gavin miller, taylor ratliff, layne cecil, and the freshman pitcher they got.

Now as of the Roberts boy from Valley. NO way hes going D1 or pro. But him and Jake Robinson are probably the best players on that team. Rusty Dont get much notice because he plays behind the plate and not on the field. But he hits alot better than Robinson does. Robinson is a great fielder but not near as good as puttin the bat on the ball as Roberts is.

Clark Keene hasn't skipped a beat in the off-season. He looked great yesterday.

What about the Cecil kid from Pikeville, I have heard good things about him.

Yea they actually are! They are a lot better! They are a whole lot better!! Just ask the teams down at the state tournament last year and Lexington Christian in the All "A?" The bad part of your post is you made that comment but then could only name one other person in the district that could even compare to anyone on their team? I think that says a lot? I am not even a Pikeville fan for the most part, but I was definetely routing for them last season and if it happens again this year i'll do the same. They have a great group of kids who play with something that most teams now a days don't play with.........heart, and that will take them farther than anything!
