Wow!! Day with 23.
I watched this game, and I'm surprised that Day had that many points.
You know, you've seen people who play quietly, and will end with a high scoring game that will surprise you, and vise-versa. Day must not have had one of his "good" games, even scoring that many points. With the exception of Day, Buckhorn played a very good game. They were well coached, and fluid in their execution. Day played like he wasn't feeling well or something.
At one point in the game, Buckhorn's coach yelled at somebody to run a play. Well, it sort of broke up and the coach yelled again, "Run the play like it's supposed to go, we've only been running this one for 3 years!"
Smile
I know we've ALL felt that kind of frustration.

The book keeper for them also asked for the names of the officials. Some of those calls were a little dicey; on both sides. One, however, does stand out a little and sparked the crowd big time. HC's point guard was receiving an in bounds pass, and some one blew a whistle. He turned around and took a couple of steps to the ref with the ball in his out streached hand. Both of them realized at the same time what had happened, and the ref allowed him to proceed with the game. He should've been called for the walk but wasn't. Buckhorn's fans weren't pleased.

Glad to know that Buckhorn made it over the mountain and back home safely. Our "flurries" turned out to be a couple of inches deep on "the mountain".

Congratulations Black Bears!!

Congrats to HC on their win. Buckhorn needs to keep their heads up and stay focused as the district is coming up. Big game coming up against Hazard for Buckhorn.

Day was not feeling well? The stats I seen was 23 points and 12 boards. That is a pretty good game in my book.

it was a good game, but i know what granny means.
he was moving slow, like he was tired or somethng.
we've had so much flu going around, i just figured he was trying to recoup from something like that.

Based on boxscores, when HC gets production from anyone besides their three guards, whether from their big men or the bench, they typically win. Defense is consistent; offense they must find on occasion.
