I just doubt that they really got into the football side of things in the hiring process.

Give him time? He's taking over a program that is arguable at one of its most successful points in recent history, and he's taking over in January which gives him plenty of time to install his system
Throw in the fact that they have had 40-50 guys on a regular basis at winter workouts and the 8 months before the 1st game should be all the time he needs.

Southwestern HS (Pulaski) assistant/ offensive coordinator Coach Jason Spencer is the new man in charge for Henry County, according to reports. best of luck to Coach Spencer, Henry Players and fans in the future. Did the AD/girls bball coach drop the ball again? only time will tell.

I agree, I wish Coach Spencer the best of luck.

Old Henry Man, do you know anything about Coach Spencer? such as history/player relationship/ community relationship/ youth league/middle school involvement? His vision for the future of Henry County Football? Spencer seems like a mystery man to this point. Not much out there about him. He landed a great job though, just anxious to see what he does with it, and his approach to building success with all the available resources he will have at Henry.

He was my track coach at SWHS. He is a great guy and will be a great coach for the Henry County fans.

In his first season as our track coach, he led us to a region title.

good to hear GetChili, sounds like he is a great track coach, but not a whole lot of speed at Henry, so what about his Football coaching GetChili?

Well, he has coached at SWHS for 4 seasons at different spots - RBs, DBs, Special Teams, and this season Off. Coordinator. I talked to him and he is very excited about being the new head coach.

Yeah, everyone liked him. My brother played for him and he liked him a lot.
