This win breaks a 12 game conference losing streak. It many not seem like much, but this win is definitely a step forward to rebuilding Louisville. UL also played without there starting QB and RB. I believe the Cards are just one win away from getting bowl eligible(not sure if one of there wins counts towards a bowl game).
