What Are Some Phrases That you HATE to hear?

What are some phrases/cliches that you HATE to hear or find offensive?

The phrase "trailer trash" always makes me mad. Also, people who say "at the end of the day . . " need to be a little more creative.

What are some that bother you?

I say "Trailer Trash" from time to time. I never direct it towards anyone else though. I direct it towards myself since I live in one.

I hate hearing people say "They Wanted It More" or "Whoever Wants It More" when it comes to sports, especially in the playoffs. Both teams want it and aren't going to give up without being forced to.

I am with you Tomcat--it p/o's me when people try to down others by using the words "trailer trash" There is nothing wrong with living in a trailer or mobile home (or anything else along those lines). Anyone who actually takes the time to check on out will see that most of them are very nice. People up here use that phrase in the wrong way--and it makes me mad. The vast majority of mobile homes are bigger than my house (a LOT bigger) and a lot nicer.

Good points on the other ones. Why would the other team even show up if one of the "wanted it more"?

I hate we you ask a question and all you get is "What ever" or if your down "I've been there it only gets better" or "I know how you feel" those just get under my skin alot.

I know how you feel...j/k batpuff...but that gets on my nerves also, and i agree with tomcat on the ''Who wants it more'' phrase.

Something that gets me is when people agree with everyone, and don't have their own opinion about anything. Not really a phrase i know..but like if someone says something i can't stand when about 20 more people come along and say i agree or something like that..

I have my own opinion about stuff but most of the time it's already been said. Give me a day or two for someone to say something to me and then I'll have a phrase that gets on my nerves..haha

i hate it when people say "huh" because they are usually using that time when you are restating what you have already said to think of a good lie .....

I hate when I'm sad and someone says I'm sorry, or you're gonna be okay, or I know exactly how you feel - UGGHHH I HATE THAT!!!!!!!!!

I also hate when people say Git-er-done or whatever...like that really drives me nuts. Wow. I HATE THAT with the fire of a thousand suns!!

oh that like ya know stuff gets on my nerves too, or when your tryin to tell someone something and they keep saayin what ... but what really makes me mad is when ppl you talk to walk away and go "god these dumb hicks!" when they were talking the same way you were.

I would have to say that it's "that's so gay". I guess maybe i'm old but when my son says it it just aggrevates the hell out of me. I've asked him to explain how something could be Gay and of course the next thing I get is "Shut Up" now that may go over with his friends but he needs to learn that it don't play at our house.

GAWD I'm getting old.

I hate phrases that sound country and "hickish".. I hate every phrase that Larry the Cable Guy has ever said, old sayings like "sexier than socks on a rooster", "colder than snot", etc. I hate the phrases that are made popular by a celebrity and are totally overused.
