IF powell plays the entire game the way the played the first quarter against lewis co and they can they will win. But if they let up one bit casey county will run all over them.

If Powell can pull this one off, it will be the first time (I think), in team history, they have been undefeated through 4 games. Hope Coach Burchett has his boys ready for a long trip and a hard fought game!

coach has done a great job of adjusting his defense for each team this year and the boys seem to have adapted well. I think they fought him last year because his kind of football was so different than whitakers. But he has made them believers and shown them that his way will win games and i see them only getting better as the season goes on. Now i know they are probably gonna loose some games but right now they are winners and when the season is over they will be winners. We have coach to thank for that.

Powell has never been a powerhouse program. Of course they are going to schedule non-district games that they can compete in and win. That is how you build a program that doesn't have alot to build on. One or two decent seasons does not make a program. When you win a few games more athletes look at coming out for football. When that happens you can really start to get the ball rolling. Now, when Powell starts to beat these teams badly on a regular basis, then you can call them out for soft scheduling. BTW, the juniors on this Powell squad were very competitive as middle schoolers. The talent level is rising slowly and consistency is what they need most of all.

i dont understand you. how is playing the exact same schedule that you played the year before is being padded? i could see your point if they had scheduled different or weaker teams but they are beating the same teams that beat them last year. so did all these teams pad their schedule last year? you must be an estill co fan and upset with your record so far.
