I say let them rank them over us, use it as motivation to get better and we will see what the rankings look like at the end of the season.

I don't understand how Belfry can be number 5 in 3a after losing to the 6th ranked 2a school by two touchdowns.

Pike Central will be even higher. This is a very good Pike Central team wait and see. They throwed for about 400 yards 2 weeks ago playing Madison southern. And the Johnson kid didnt play.

This post sums it all up!!! When you leave a wideout wide open, drop two potential TDs off play action, fumble two punts, throw an int. and do not have any fire in your belly till too late, this happens. Prestonsburg did not have a turnover as well. Look for some position changes for the Pirates this week and congrats to Pburg on a nice win.
maybe that answers your ?

NCC seems to be way too high at #2 in 2A.
08-25-2010, 08:04 AM
3A is a weak class thats why their ranked that high

Collins should be 4 or 5 in 4a. They are rated too low.

Don't put too much stock into Madison Southern, they are 1 of the 5 worst teams in the state of KY.

Look at Class AAA . . . heck, the top 3 teams in the state are a combined 0-3.
I'm pretty sure I've never seen that before.

Prestonsburg has never received any respect in these polls.

I was really impressed P-burg's d line. They seem to be a solid team. Time will tell.

Look only 1 team in the top 10 of 3A won their games last week

Did not say Madison was a great team. Just saying Pike throwed for 400 yards.

Every class looks to be pretty accurate except for 3A.

Beating 5A Dixie may have surprised a few voters statewide, especially with all the preseason hype associated with QB Pike. I do think NCC will contend for a state title this year in 2A. Kelly is a brusing back and Highchew is very skilled at scrambling for yardage. Doyle may very well lead the entire state in picks.

the point difference between bell and boyle in the points category is pretty wide (compared to 5A). the AP must feel that the class is pretty close for the second place. either that or a few dont have much faith in bell.

Pulaski County is ranked way too high in 5A. Hopefully we will see that tonight....
