I was holding out hope that the new coaching staff at The Citadel would offer him like the last group had and that he would for some reason commit! Oh well, can't get em all I guess. Awesome for him though, I look forward to seeing him play for EKU next to Stenzel.

After Stenzel commited to EKU, I looked for Timmy to go there too. They are best friends.

Happy to see this for him!! He was such a integral part of those amazing Elliott county teams that made title runs and duked it out with the Valley teams! Extremely happy to hear that for him!!!

Is Michael Terry still at Fairview? If so, why? He should have packed that carpet bag and headed for Elliott County. With Terry and Knipp and the others, EC would have been a threat at Rupp Arena.

EKU is a great school, close to home and he can step in and contribute. What other schools that are looking at him are better???

Congrats to Timmy Knipp!! This is a great fit for him IMO! I think that its at the right level where he can be a leader and if the opportunity comes he could even transfer to a bigger and better school(UK)!

Congrats to Timmy, but I think he could play somewhere better. IMO

Why are a couple of posters disappointed in his decision? It is not about what you think is right for him, it's about what he thinks is right for him. EKU has been an above average OVC school, they made the NCAA tourney twice in recent years. Gave both UNC and UK all they could handle. So why not go to a school that is close to home, great campus, better chance at playing time instead of sitting on the bench at a "big time" program. If he is good enough, the scouts will find him.
