Lexington Catholic @ Whitley County 8/20

As most of you are, I am so happy its time for football again. With that said, it's also time for the predictions. Lex Cath comes to Williamsburg for the first game of the year against Whitley.
I think this is a great game for both teams to start the year off with and can really sling shot the winner to a good season. IMHO I think Whitley is underated this year and from other posters on here Lex Cath seems to be down.
This game could come down to a last play or something even better. If Whitley can come out with their triple option offense in full force, and stop the pass they could have a great game. Thats still a lot of ifs though, but what the heck ill take Whitley by one.
Whitley starts the year off with a win and 300+ rushing yards in their first game. Score- 28-27 Whitley

It really could go either way, last year at Lex Cath, Whitley had them beat and gave the game up late. Bu this is a new year and i dont know if anybody could watch a game between two teams this year that could have more newer faces out on the field this year.

Whitley had the game won last year until the Catholic depth wore them down late. Same thing this year I suspect.

Whitley has lost a lot in the last 2 seasons. I think they will take a step back this year. LC will win this game with ease.

Sorry to disappoint but LexCath is never down. Don't get me wrong I do not care for LC at all. However facts are facts. When you can pull athletes from a populas as large as Lexington you always replace graduating athletes with other good athletes.
They may not be as prominate in the future as in the past. LCA may start getting the better Lexington athletes time will tell.

I'll take the Knights by 21 in this one.

Best of luck to both!

I'll take LC by 2-3 TDs here.

I agree, with a population like lexingtons to possibly have on your roster, they will always have athletes. I was just going off other posters who said they were a little down, but knowing they are LC they will still have a lot of athletes on the field.
This game could be a big win for LC but I hope Whitley shows up a little better than a blowout. Whitley has lost a lot of players in the past couple of years that have been strong solid starters for the colonels. This is definitely a rebuilding year for them, but nobody knows until week 1 is played how any team is truly going to look.
