Should SV players get to pick who they wanted as coach then letting the principle and the sports administration pick witch don't know anything about football? I think the boys would of picked the fine coach as there self. Anothany Hampton! Well we didn't need no coach from texas, virginia, or where ever else they looked at. Fordale Johnson need to learn to make is freaking mind straight about who it is! This is stupied to have 4 coaches in the past 3 years! We finally found someone that the boys would like and want to learn with and they kick him out and tell him that he can't head coach them no more! COME ON PPL get real here ppl most of the players wants Anothany Hampton as coach! If Hampton is not coach, pick me of going somewhere else then SV!

BUT IMO I LIKED HAMPTON AND HE HAD BEEN THERE FOR ME AND THE REST OF THE PLAYERS THAT WAS ON THE TEAM!!!! I WAS PROUD TO TELL PPL THAT MY COACH WAS HAMPTON. AND I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS!!!!! GREAT SEASON HAMPTON!!!

Should the players get to pick--absolutely not.

Should they have a voice in the process--YES.

14-18 year olds (usually) are not at the level where they can objectively make decisions (some are--but most are not). They should have a voice in the process.

I could see where the team would be upset after rallying around a person who stepped in during a bad situation--and did well. But the adminstration has a responsibility to see the long term future.

Why don't you speak to the principal or write a professional letter explaining the strength's/weaknesses of the current coach--and why you think he should be retained.

Get a petition, from what I hear that works well in your area. Then the year after an underclassman can get a petition to get the coach he wants and so on and so on and so on.............:boo:

I agree with DNA! But they just need to make a choice and now. That is where the joke is. Not hiring anyone is the joke. It seems like the atheletic programs and valley where the best around and now they are on the downw slope.

I think its a shame that the administration at this school hasn't put in half the effort that our coaches have put forth. Coach Hampton, Osbourne, and more have made great sacrifices to bring success to our team. but the players and them seem to be the only ones trying to take our team to the next level. Without the support of the administration, our team will never be on the level of the belfry's and prestonsburg's

Seems like it took a while to hire the new coach at PIKEVILLE last year. Wonder if people there were as anxious last year and after all was said and done happy they took as long as they did?

I do remember hearing how much the off-season workouts suffered without anyone in place.

Is this the case now at SV?
