Sources: Paul Pierce To Opt Out Of His Contract With The Boston Celtics
#1
Add one more marquee name to the most anticipated free-agent class in NBA history: Paul Pierce.

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com that Pierce has notified the Boston Celtics that he will opt out of the final year of his contract before Wednesday's deadline to do so, which will make Pierce an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.

i just wonder if this means That Doc Rivers Won't Be With The Celtics Next Year?

More than likely.. I'm kinda interested in seeing where he goes, if this is true anyways.. Pierce has always been one of my all time favorites in the NBA.

^ There was talk on the Stephen A Smith show that he is opting out so that they can re-co his contract, not that he is entertaining offers. We'll see.

No one else will pay him the ammount of money Boston does. He better stay.

I dont think doc was considering coaching somewhere else. Think he wants to spend time with his family.

Doc Rivers says he's returning to coach Boston Celtics in 2010-11
