I wonder why Walter would want to leave these two guys?
I have seen from several different sources that the rumor is Walter McCarty will be leaving the UL coaching staff to join the Indiana Pacers. But, is this a good move for Waltah? As this article points out, if he does join the Pacers, head coach Jim OâBrien is in the last year of his contract, and he hasnât exactly had a great stint with the Pacers. So assuming OâBrien may be on his way out of Indy, why would Walter take a one year stint in the pros?
I donât know, but it is looking more and more like the UL staff will be one former UK player lighter.

I think so too considering how many successful head coaches have served as assistants under Pitino.
