High-scoring Raider has offer
#1
Heading into his junior season at Iroquois High School, Jermaine Jackson was a bit overshadowed by senior Donovan Gibbs who had already signed a scholarship with IUPUI.

So, the 6-foot-4 Jackson made a name for himself.

Jackson was one of the top five scorers in the state of Kentucky, averaging 25 points a game, and seemingly could score at will in some games.

"I don't think so," Jackson said when asked if there was any place on the court he couldn't score from. "It just comes from practicing different shots."

Jackson has scored something else - a scholarship offer. He said IUPUI has offered him a scholarship and noted he's also hearing a lot from Missouri State.

While playing for the Royal Family 17s this spring and summer, Jackson said he's working on "playing better defense," and he's hoping to land more looks. He scored 20-plus points in every game he played last weekend at the State AAU Tournament.

"I feel like it's getting there," Jackson said. "I think other schools will look at me after last season and I hope the summer will help."
