I've heard that Wade has been looking at leaving. Any thoughts are where? I heard Johnson Central or Elliot County. That's coming from a good source in the 16th region.

He planning on moving?
04-22-2010, 01:10 PM
From what I know Wade was at Elliott County on Sunday playing pick up games with some of the players. I have known this rumor for sometime now, and with Anderson leaving I think that plays a role.

The Rose Hill kids didnt move and they were eligible to play at Ashland. Never underestimate what Rocky Adkins will do for the Lions either.

LOL Good point on Rocky and yes he has been playing with Elliot. Timmy and Jacob are friends with Wade, If you throw in Wade with those two they are RUPP Bound. Inside out combo! The only question is will Wade give up football? From what I saw he is a good football player as well. Thats why JC might be a good fit.

Ive seen wade play he is a very talented athlete...he could go alot of places to play if he wanted to

Wade is a DAWG at heart, I don't think he will go anywhere. He has received a lot of interest in football as well. LC will have a good football team this year.
We just need a good coach that our boys have faith in and all will be well.

No matter who LC hires he could never win with the talent level coming back in 2011. Wade will get triple teamed all next year and get frustrated. As for playing Football, he is good but a much better BB player from what I have seen and yes playing with Timmy or Johnson Centrals Parker will make either team a immediate contender next year to go to RUPP.

The experience level is going to be way down but if they get the right coach there will be help on the way. That will always happen. There are a few kids in the lower grades that will help. One year makes a huge difference. If they go with the wrong coach then there will not be very many kids left to play ball from 6th grade up.

Hope he stays, but if not best of luck to hi... he's a great kid!

They may play a box and 1 on him. But IMO he is not a good enough player to be triple teamed every game. He is a great shooter but he lacks in other things on his offense.

I saw Paintsville play a box and one on him this year and he had 34 i think. If Skaggs stays teams are just going to be waiting for him after he beats his first man and i'd say they will run a chaser on him the whole game too.

Thats why i said that they would play a box and 1
i said he wouldnt be triple teamed...

He would make Elliott strong not only in the region, but they would be a good team any where. He would really fit in with how they play. Although football could be a deciding factor.

Skaggs is a really good ball player, and would make Elliot Co. a very competitive team on a state level.

I beg to differ. The first game of the season they played them, the Tigers were pretty much in a man the entire night. That is when he put up 32.
The next time they played at LCHS is when the Tigers put the chaser on him and he didn't score his first points until 5 secs left in the first half and that was at the line. He finished with 12 pts that night, 1 FG and 10 FTs.
The next time they faced was the same thing. It was in the Dist. Tourn. he finished with 8 pts that night. 2-2s, 1-3 and a FT.
He shot 9% from 2pt land and 0% behind the arch second time, and 20% from 2pt and 16% behind the arch the tourney.
So, if you put someone in his grill all night, he gets upset and starts forcing shots.

He needs to play with good talent and Timmy and Jacob inside would allow Wade for once in his career to show his pure talent. SHOOTING THE BALL!! I agree Elliot would become very dangerous if he comes to Sandy hook, a state tourny run @ RUPP would be in order.
The only question would be how does Wade and Timmy gel on the court? Timmy like the limelight and shots...Any thoughts on this?

Im on khsaa and Look at his four performances before that game he played you 18,27,24,22. Maybe its a thing called tired legs. Five games in six days. Also i do recall Skaggs went in a slump about 4 games before district and i think he finally got out of his slump in the 2nd half against sheldon clark scoring 15 i think. Then he had an oustanding regional tournament.

I know if Timmy- Jacob does welcome Wade and plays with him not solo, they would be unstopable in the 16th!!
Ashland Tomcats would not have a chance next year.
Forgot... it would be even funnier to see Wade burn his old coach at Boyd.
Did I mention we would take Wade anyday. GO SV!!!!

jealous jealous.. lol just stating facts 18,27,24,22,12 pretty good numbers, but if i was Skaggs i would get out of LC. If he joined a team with some great players he would have more open opportuntities but thats his decision. It's hard to leave your hometown.

when did parker start playing team ball. all he does is whine if he's not the leading scorer. :eyeroll:

Parker may not have lead them in scoring but he is one of the best big men in the 15th region.
