I still remember several years ago when JC had the same enrollment as they do today, but were 3A and Prestonsburg was 2A no one tried to make a big deal of the difference between 2A and 3A.

Probably because the enrollments then weren't as pronounced in the letters as they are now. :Thumbs: It's still a legitimate question IMO.

Prestonsburg isn't 'ducking' anyone, especially Johnson Central.

Those of who are close to either coaching staffs know that they don't like one another.

I myself would love to see the two start playing one another, as it could turn into quite the rivalry.

OK for the record I do not dis like Prestonsburg, my aunt was a teacher there for many years. Allen Brown.
Now as for the ducking part, Let rephrase that will not play either way its the same. I know that JCHS has offered and P-burg has declined more than once. It would be a good game and become a good rivalry. I also will say that I root all eastern Ky teams on as long as they are not play my eagles.

Pardon me. Can I intrude on this thread and ask why you guys are worried about at 1A and 2A school on your schedule? Ia there not a similar size WV school nearby?

No body is worried about a 1a or 2a team. A lot of us like to see a few rivalry games. Its great for the community and for the gate. It also gives some guys something to go to work and brag about I guess. My self want to see games like this because there is always someone comparing apples and oranges.

Well said. You always need that rivalry game. Rivalry games are a huge part of all sports.
