Buckhorn defeats Hazard in double OT

Buckhorn 76 - Hazard 70

Big Congrats to the HORN! I knew they would beat one of the bigs in the 54th before it was over with. It will be an interesting 54th District Tourney this year. After Leslie beat Buckhorn, doesn't seem like there is one easy draw at all.

Congrats for finally getting a big win. Colwell stepped up big tonight, with the absence of Stidham, they needed every pt they could get from him. If they can get healthy before the tourney, they will be able to play with anyone. Should be a very interesting draw on Thursday. can't wait....

Someone said that this is the first time that B-horn had beat Hazard in 16 years. Congrats to Buckhorn on a well earned win.

This is true. We beat Hazard in the All A Championship in '96.

This was an awesome game tonight. I was truly worried not having Stidham, especially after the Leslie game. These boys really came to play tonight. After the 1st qtr I thought it was over being down 12-4, but we never quit and stayed focused. Not having Stidham this week could really help Buckhorn the rest of the season. The bench players have got some more minutes and other players have had to step up and take bigger roles. I wouldn't look for him to play much if any in the next game against Riverside. They really need him 100% come tournament time. This truly was one of the biggest wins for Buckhorn in a long time.

I just realized the math. That would have made it 14 years since we beat Hazard. Either way, it has been a long time.

Wow, this really surprises me. I thought after the run that the Dawgs had put together on their way to the All A, they were really playing well. Congrats Buckhorn

Congrats to Buckhorn and Coach Noble. THis team and coaching staff has come up short all year in these games and I am glad to see them get over the hump. However I wish it would have been agianst PCC and not Hazard.
