Ed Davis scored 20 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and had four blocks, as ninth-ranked North Carolina surged in the second half to beat Virginia Tech, 78-64, at the Smith Center.
Larry Drew II ended with 14 points and eight assists for the Tar Heels (12-4, 1-0 ACC), who also received 13 points each from Deon Thompson and Will Graves.
Malcolm Delaney had 26 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Hokies (12-2, 0-1), who had their nine-game winning streak broken. Dorenzo Hudson added 14 points in defeat.

I was hoping that vt would pull out another upset over UNC like they have a few times over the past few years.
