7th grade Boyd won pretty big. 8th grade game was a good game from start to finish. Boyd did not have their point guard and the kid running the point went out with an injury in the 4th so that hurt them alot. Not taking anything away from East they are a scrappy team but it should be a different game the next time they meet up if Boyd has everyone there.

East lost to Rowan last week by 2 in OT. I was told the game was tense. I don't think this team is going away, but will get stronger throughout the season. They seem to just now be getting into playing as a team. As far as I am aware East does not have any students that have been held back and the school has a rule not to allow players in girls/boys basketball to play up. Each player on the team is true 8th graders. Won't get to catch many games this season due to schedule conflicts, but I am interested in seeing how there record ends.
