In your opinion, who was/is the better president:
George Bush Jr.
Bill Clinton
I am on the Bill bandwagon. He did much more for the economy---especially considering the fact that there was a republican congress seated for the vast majority of his tenure (and before anyone says that the republican congress should get credit--just think about our current republican congress).

Bill Clinton was the greatest president that this country has ever had. He signed into law measurements to revitalize the economy and renew the American community. He won Congressional approval of a massive deficit reduction plan to boost standards and create jobs. There was a barrier-breaking trade agreement with Mexico and aid to Russia. Also he made tax cuts for small businesses and the working poor. The Brady Bill was also a big thing which required a waiting period before gun purchase.
Under President Clinton's leadership, almost 6 million new jobs were created in the first two years of his Administration -- an average of 250,000 new jobs every month.
In 1994, the economy had the lowest combination of unemployment and inflation in 25 years.
As part of the 1993 Economic Plan, President Clinton cut taxes on 15 million low-income families and made tax cuts available to 90 percent of small businesses, while raising taxes on just 1.2 percent of the wealthiest taxpayers.
President Clinton signed into law the largest deficit reduction plan in history, resulting in over $600 billion in deficit reduction. The deficit is going down for 3 years in a row for the first time since Harry Truman was president.
Along with many, many, MANY other reasons...
And yes, the only reason that George W. considered going to war with Iraq was to finish what his daddy started and couldn't. People are starting to get real antsy about the rising price of oil, particularly those voters who have invested in SUV's and are finding their commutes to be getting nearly as costly as their mortgage payments, as the price of gasoline begins to near the $4/gallon mark. This is a great time for one of the presidential candidates to step in and save the day, gathering in November IOU's from the voters at the same time. George W. Bush, for one, probably thinks that would be a great move, particularly since, in the mind of at least one economic pundit, he was instrumental in causing the shortage in the first place. It's VERY simple, W does what makes Daddy happy.

Being a Democrat I would say President Clinton, but I think in a fairness it is too early to judge President Bush, he still has a little more than 2 years left on his second term.

George W. Bush is not the best president we have ever had, but he is better than Bill Clinton. Here's a few items from Clinton's 8 years in office.
1st elected President ever to be Impeached.
Perjured himself repeatedly before Grand Jury investagation.
In 2001 was disbarred form practicing law in the US.
White Water Scandal
Sexual Affair with Lewinsky a 21 year old in the White House.
Sexual Harassment Allegations.
Military decreased from 2.1 million to 1.6 million,
Army cut from 18 to 12 Divisions.
Navy reduced from 546 ships to 380 ships.
Air Force Flight Squadrons cut from 76 to 50.
Pay freeze on Military members.
Had opportunity to capture Bin Laden in 1998, (how did that work out)
Did not support Strategic Defense Initiative to shield the US against missle attacks.
Clinton estimated Iraq to have 200 tons of VX (nerve gas) enough to kill every one on the Earth.
A Federal Intelligence Source revield Al Quaeda could be planning to use passenger Airplanes as missiles in suicide raids against the United States (so what did they do with that bit of info)
Clinton cited on 2 occasions Al Qaeda and Iraq connections.
I could go on and on!!
Bill Clinton did not have to deal with the World Trade Center bombing or having the cit of New Orleans being flooded.
State and Federal Goverment will only improve when Republicans, Democrats and everyone else starts working together for the good of this Country instead of good of their party!!!

I'll agree with that last line totally Old School. Now for who was the best that really depends on what's important to you and only you. Everyone will have their own thoughts on the matter. That's about all I have to say about that.
