Allen Central beat Magoffin County by 10.
Coal Grove beat Prestonsburg.

From a eighth row point of view all games were evenly matched. Phelps defeated a well coached Lee County squad that opened up the day's games.

Betsy Layne behind a strong defensive effort ran away from Pike Central. Junior Nathan Martin along with several others sent a statement to the other district opponents that this squad is going to be a strong contender for a second district title.

Allen Central defeated Magoffin and probably left more "skin "on the floor than any other squad that played.

In the night cap, Coach Jack Pack's delected squad competed with a strong Coal Grove team.

Second District Title? The Blackcats of P-Burg, are the defending district champs.
