I would like to thank the three 8th graders (Courtney Wright, Mariah Newsom, and Kennedy Tucker) for all they've done for our school. They've meant so much to our school on the floor and in the classroom as well (All 3 are A students who are on the Academic Team).

I think Courtney is one of the best guards to play in this county in a while. She has started at the point on the varsity for the last 3 years and she will be hard to replace. The impact her loss will have reminds me of when Elisha Justice graduated 8th grade.

Mariah is such an important part of our team. She does so much that doesn't show up in the box score. She can play point guard or either forward position and play them all well. She takes so much pressure off the other 2 guards. She rebounds well, and is a defensive leader on the floor.

Kennedy has really given our team a spark off the bench this year. She play so hard and is really competitive (especially when we play kickball in P.E. class lol!). She isn't a flashy player, but she is a key part of our team.

These 3 girls have helped make this season one of the most fun in recent memory. Thanks girls!
