McCreary has some speed. They are not especially strong but they have improved in that area also. If McCreary comes to play I think this could be a good game. Any time you have athletes like Stephens, Watts, Goins, and Roark on a team they are going to be dangerous. I don't think Rock will overlook McCreary because they are to well disciplined and have a strong tradition but I also believe the Rock wouldn't have to overlook McCreary for this to be a really close game. IMO this one is to close to call.

I could be very wrong, but I think that Rockcastle is one of only two teams to play Bell and Boyle County this season. Those are two VERY hard games. They also have 4 5A teams on the schedule. I could see why it is considered the 6th toughest schedule.
Coach Saylor stated that quote as "6th toughest in the state", one time when I, and coach parkey were talking to him at some point last year about this year's scheduling for Rockcastle County, As I did research on the opponents records from 2008. The combined opponents season record was 75 wins and 47 losses from the teams we are playing now. I would not doubt it if we did have the 6th toughest which I do believe anything the mastermind known as Coach Saylor would know this.

Coach probably meant 4A. If he meant State then that shows why he is the master motivator, he can make anyone believe anything:biggrin:

The game will be defined in mostly defense and special teams of how we play against one of the region's top athletes, If we are not careful in the field conditions, it could have Watts and Roark a stat day.

MCC's record is built on beating weak teams.
I agree with your post jumper on KC and Rock being very similar and the game this week posting similar results. Looks like it may be sloppy conditions once again. I just want to give some praise to MCC because of their improvements over the last couple seasons. I do wish you the best of luck and hope your team can make this district even more competitive in the future

Thanks ray, we sure appreciate the love and we have also been very impressed with KC's program and how it has grown into a district contender! As for Rockcastle, we know they are a great program with tons of tradition and Friday night will be a very difficult task against a program that I have respected for many years. I consider it an honor to lead my kids to battle on the gridiron against teams like Rock, Bell and Knox and look forward to the day where the MCHS Raiders are talked about in the same circle as these programs and let me tell you it is coming, only time will tell how soon! All I can say for now is, I coach to win and our players work hard everyday in practice to win and on Friday night we are going to travel about 60 minutes north with every intensions of winning because we believe we can! Pack your lunches Raiders and punch your time card because it is time to go to work! By the way we are in the demolition business and we love are work!

PS, I am sure glad they have this little Raider smilie face on here!

They have some small college offers and some larger colleges/universities are showing a lot of interest but no solid offers from them yet! But again that is a result of our program not being in the lime-light because of poor performance over the years! IMHO They both got invited to the Honolulu Bowl this year and they are the first from MC to ever have that happen to! I know that is a way seems to be just a way to have people spend money to go to Hawaii but it still pretty neat!
