We're not surprised, the most obvious post of the year.

I agree with you craftcreeker. Refs, let the boys play. It makes for a better game no matter who wins. I think the loss to Powell will bring out the best in Magoffin on their Home field against Estill. It will be a closs game but Magoffin's QB seems to be getting more confident and better with each game. Confident athletic QB+ Several good running backs+ good defense will equal a win for Magoffin. I look forward to seeing this one.

Well, I was over on the Magoffin side and the refs were just looking for a reason. I saw at least a dozen obvious holding calls against Powell, that never got flagged. I heard the ref tell the head coach to be quiet and watch his mouth, and all he was doing was asking for a jersey number on the flag (no # was given on several incidents). I know both coaches and they are both classy guys. The refs just decided to "help" out. The ratio was almost 3 - 1 on flags, and it should have been about even, from what I observed. There was a TD called back on Magoffin, on a holding call that wasn't flagged until after they scored (hmm?). They also let Powell call time out after the ball snapped, when MC was on O (not supposed to happen).
It was a district game. It was just sad to watch it get meddled with by the guys who are supposed to keep it fair.

I seen some holds that were missed, I didn't see a dozen, but yes there were missed calls on both sides, as there are in every game. I do know the situation you're talking about when the referee got after Coach McCoy, it was uncalled for, but that guy seemed to have it out for everyone who came to the game that night.
