Mayfield is definitely one of the two best 1A teams in the state thusfar along with LCA, but I am not convinced LCA should be punished and have their #1 ranking take away after losing to 4A Top 5 LexCath in a game that they had a chance to win as time expired.

your right, LCA gave Catholic all they wanted and more. that was a great game in my book.. I like where Bell is, Boyle will be the top dogg's till they get beat!!!!!

AP hmm well go to the courier journal's web site and see how that Moron voted---disrespect intended he has no idea what goes on outside the gene Snyder freeway. his press credentials should be revoked. and for everyone that thinks I'm hatin because my team wasn't ranked right well your wrong i agree with where mine is. but this guy skews the rankings with his Louisville loving. case in point his overall rankings --saint x, trinity, and then lowly highlands. umm did we all see the same game? and the results the two super powers put up against the the same saint x Ohio.

Was looking at 3A and the biggest thing that stuck out was Magoffin Co. at #8. Havent seen them in the top 10 so i looked at there schedule. They might be 4-1 but who have they played. Some other teams deserve to be in before they do. JMO

Well this just shows that there aren't enough votes coming out of EKY. Magoffin County is not a top 10 team.

I agree that there is no respect for Prestensburg. I think by the end of the season, you will get it. I think Prestensburg will for sure get a shot at a state title.

Obviously you don't as you can't spell his name correctly. It's "Rees". I couldn't care less where any poll has Boyle ranked. It's irrelevant. Kentucky doesn't crown champions based on poll rankings. It is funny though to see all of the Bell County fans get their thongs all twisted when anyone even hints that there might be a better team out there. (Is there nothing else to do in Bell County? Don't answer it's a rhetorical question.) For now Boyle County is number 1. Whether you like it or not, you may as well learn to love it. If Boyle loses maybe Bell can be number 1. I think Boyle should be number 1 until they lose. I'm a Bell fan and the only team I worry about is Boyle. But there is a chance that they won't ever meet.

Suprised AC stayed in the polls after their loss to Pikeville. As a fan of AC I like seeing them in the top 10 but I don't think there top 10 at this point although Pikeville may be better than some have given them credit for. The 1A playoffs will be very interesing.

Congrats to Mayfied, Ft. Campbell, Mason Co., Boyle, Highlands, and St. X for their #1 spot.

On a side note I wish Kentucky would go back down to the 4A system insted of 6A. Just looking through these ratings I noticed Magoffin is #8 in 3A, a bad East Ridge team is #17 in 3A, Morgan is #12 in 2A, I mean teams don't earn ratings anymore. theres not enough teams in each class imo.

This is more of a commentary on the lack of research of the voters of this poll more than the class system itself. Magoffin is not actually the #8 tea in 3A, in fact they wouldn't even crack a true Top 20 of an educated voter.
