He came from Rose Hill.

He started out at Pendleton County, then came to Rose Hill. I don't mean that he played varsity at Pendleton, just that he moved into this area from PC.

Gregg was told he could play the perimeter if he came to Ashland.
I guess Ashland will be playing an open post offense .
Now that he is there, look for him to spend the majority of his time inside
when the season starts.
He will be a huge addition for the Tomcats and you can put him down as eligible this season.
KHSAA does not want any barriers for anyone wanting to exit Rose Hill

Having seen Ashland play last year, I noticed that Ryan Bonner (played the 5) occassionaly flashed out past the arc depending what the defense for the other team was doing. This gave him the opportunity to take the 3 several times a game. Is it possible this is the case with Gregg? Doubtful that they will change their system, more likely he will 'plug in' to the void that Bonner left. Especially since he was the lone senior on a team that presumably returns 4 starters from last years' team.

What is it about Rose Hill that causes multiple players to transfer almost every year?

Well, after this year, I think we can safely say that the transfers out will drop off significantly. Rose Hill will have to examine their desire to even have a team - and possibly how dedicated they are to even having a high school.

C'est la vie.

The KCAA (Kentucky Christian Athletic Association) would be a great fit for Rose Hill after all the fall out that is headed their way. The KCAA currently has 26 teams divided into four regions. Rose Hill would be very competetive in all sports if the transition is made to leave the KHSAA and enter the KCAA. Come November, Rose Hill may not have a voice in the matter as if whether to stay in the KHSAA or not. The plight of the kids at Rose Hill is very heart breaking to say the least. Innocent kids are the victims of a decade of ongoing unethical practices of a few certain people that have had their own personal agendas and not the best interest for what Charles Stewart (Godly man) intended the school to be...a lighthouse to the community.

The kids and families at Rose Hill in our prayers.

I saw this kid play in 7th grade and he was dominant at Pendleton Co. I havent seen him since then but if he has grown and developed he will be a very fine HS player.

The KCAA would be a good choice for Rose Hill to go into reguardless what happens with the KHSAA. I have seen RH girls struggle mightly in basketball and in softball over the past couple of years. Ego's aside it would be in the best intrest of all the kids to play in the KCAA. They would be competitive and have a real chance of winning some ball games. They beat down they have taken over the past years (talking about the girls) has been unnecessary and demoralizing at times. All the kids need to have a chance of winning and feeling good about themselves.

According to his mom he was notified yesterday that he has been ruled ineligible for this season by the KHSAA. Reason being because he failed to change residency.

On a brighter note, his little brother did finally get his soccer schedule.

I'm sure the letter from KHSAA states that he is ineligible because he doesn't meet any of the exceptions contained in By-Law 6. That is the standard answer from KHSAA. And, if you review By-Law 6, you will have to conclude that he does not meet any of the exceptions. He will have 15 days to appeal to a hearing officer. If all proceeds as it usually does, it should be at least late November before a decision is reached. In the meantime, he is ineligible.

I'm assuming the other transfers are ineligible also. Does anyone know?

To the best of my knowledge, Bush is also ineligible.

If they meet one of the criteria for eligibility, they should be ruled eligible. If they do not meet any of the criteria, they should have to sit out for a year.

Seems like a pretty straightforward argument, and it should be applied to everyone in the state. Then again, this is the KHSAA we are talking about ...
