The Camels went with former St. Louis Cardinal and CCHS graduate Scott Schweitzer as replacement to retired Wayne Heringer. Scott brings not only tremendous pedigree, but a knowledge of the most basic parts of the game. The Camels have a baseball rich talent level, but have not had the guidance to be anything more than a foe of Harrison County in 10th Regional tournament play. I expect that Coach Schweitzer will bring an immediate work ethic to the Camel program that brings the talent level to a standard that competes with Harrison County year-in and year-out.

It has been discussed that Coach Schweitzer will be securing Scott Wiggins, former New York Yankee and current pitching coach of the Cincinnati Steam into the fold of the Camel coaching staff.

Brother. I'm very close to the Schweitzer family, this is a dream job for Scott, one that he did not expect to receive so soon but one that he hoped to get someday.
