PS2 Online Help
#1
Whenever I try to set up my Network Adaptor it gives me error 610.

The internet people here said to press Select and it would give me a Mac Address. I am supposed to give them this Mac Address to allow them to give me access from the PS2, however, when I press select nothing happens.

Anyone have any clue on how I can figure out the Mac Address?

On most modems, the MAC address is on it somewhere on a white label. Try to look there.

Remember, MAC addresses are written in Hexadecimal. That means it uses Digits 1-0 and Letters A-f, and is 16 characteres long.

I think it may be the same as the gateway address. I remember that when i set my up there was something different, and they told me to put in the gateway address , and its worked fine since then, so try that, if it doesnt work PM me and i will find out.

Where do I find the gateway address?

if you are on dsl or foothils fibernet they sould have gave you a sheet that had all your settings on them, if not just call inter support line and they will be able to get it for you, or maybe qq can tell you how to find it on your comp.

Well, they have to allow my internet to work on the PS2 and they require the MAC Address before I can do that.

you could always clone your computers mac address. IF you still need help CE.. IM me. ill walk or call and talk you through what you need to do.

On my Xbox Live, it automatically configures it. Try unplugging your modem when it's connected to your PS2, wait a few seconds then plug it back in.

do you have the slim line or the modem that is attached to the back, sometimes you might have to do what blackcat said.
