Congrats to both the east & west,it was a one sided game in the first half with the west going into halftime with a very nice lead. The west had some great size and was a big advantage for awhile, but the second half the east proved to be tough and showed that with their comeback to tie the game with x number of secs left, with a layup by perkins to take a 2 pt lead.
East gets the ball back with 9 Secs left, still with a 2 pt lead and turn the ball over on the inbounds play. With 2 secs left on the clock, west shoots a 3 and miss but a foul was called and the girl from the west with ice water in her veins sinks all 3 foul shots and the west win the game by 1 pt.
Very proud of the girls from the east, but was even more proud of the 2 girls from the 15th region, you both showed why you recieved an invitation, great rebounding by slone, she held her own and then some with 3, division I signees and Perkins, just being herself and doing what she does, about a great second half as any player on the court could have put together.
You girls will be missed very bad next year and your schools and teammates should be proud to have played with you,for you both represented your school and region, the best it could have been.
and on another note there was only 2 invitations given out per region,POY is automaticlly in and the other player voted in by the coaches of each region.

Congrats! How many did Perkins end up with? Has LP signed yet? Did any college coaches approach her after the game? She will be a better college player than high school.

I heard she also went on a visit with a college in owensboro while down that way.If your last statement in correct then she is in for a great college career.
Both west and the east was loaded with talent for it was evident from the seniors that i watched in this game play.Hats off to both sides for a very exciting game, mostly the second half.

Amber Riddle was selected to play. She was at Diddle Arena saturday morning. She really would've been a big help to the east team.

I've saw Union scouts out at Valley's game before. I wouldn't doubt if they didn't try really hard to pick Perkins up. Congratulations to the East team and to those girls from the 15th region.

How did she do?

She did well. Guarded the Rainey kid from Warren East. Rebounded and played defense as always.
