Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with the cards
02-10-2009, 11:04 AM
i don't know there is just so much Sheldon Clark needs to change for them to be able to compete in the district let alone the region. they don't play together as a team, every one is only out for themselves. the talent is there the leadership is there everything is in place for them to have a successful season. these are the same middle school kids who attended Warfield, and went 27-2 they was one of the best middle school teams i have ever seen, but when they get to the high school level things just seem to sizzle out. and imo it is the coaches fault they don't utilize the talent and the potential they have. the coaches just let people who have money and who kiss butt play and its really not fair to the kids who deserve to play and who bust there butts every day. now sheldon clark has blown a great opp. to bring a well needed 57th district title home. instead its just gonna be another wasted season. im gonna go ahead and predict it now they won't win 7 games next season, i hope they don't but they just won't be able to get it together. good luck seniors this season i hope the cards do great, but i just don't see it happening.

Wow i couldnt have said that any bit better..That is the Gods honest truth..and i have seen something else the only games that the cards have one was when Coach Harless is up on his feet coaching and not sitting down with his head between his knees like a little scared dog tucking his tail..wow what is gonna happen next..But good luck Sheldon Clark

They really just don't have that much talent this year.

nice post i totally agree with u its sad that it has come to people feeling that way. and attending a game at sc is said last night everyone was going crazy at the girls game it was a great environment but when the boys game was up everyone was dead it just killed the mood. it will be a long road for sc. but its sad when the fans abandon you over the situation that's at hand. they need to get rid of a certain sophomore and they would be in good shape, they wont go any where as long as him and his dad is calling the shots. they should have let him go to jc and let them deal with it the only sad thing is they (JC) would not put up with his crap tell his daddy to keep his money.but ol well none of my business good luck cards. hh:

I personally don't believe money or butt kissing is the problem. The problem is fans complaining over a weak team. Every team has their down years.
02-10-2009, 11:45 AM
lol..yeah seriously..you can't be good every year..every team has their down years..Sheldon Clark fans just need to stop complaining..it just isn't their year..

no it is the problem, yeah but when you have a down season for 20 years there is something wrong.....except for 04 but if your quote on here get your facts strait.

Well put...... Justin is now playing like dosen't care, not with the fire he was with when he was knocking down 20 point plus games. Thats when the cards ran off 4 or 5 straight wins. He was and still is, if he wants to be one of the premier shooters in the region. I honestly believe he just wants it to be over and get on with the next part of his life. Just and opinon. Also if you remember when the Cards had that winning streak of 4 or 5, Lafferty was not in the lineup, due to illness or something.

We just need to stick together and play as a team IMO.

well said he could be a great scorer he has the shooting ability....but it really doesn't matter sc season is pretty much over...i would be surprised if they win another game...they don't have any fight in them, when they was winning roger harless was up on his feet coaching, screaming he had intensity, and it brought fire to the cards......as well as lafferty being on the bench......but now he just sits with his head down in his lap shaking his head (harless) how do u expect to win with junk like that.

Wow... LC must still be singing the theme song from the Jeffersons. Look its only Wal-Mart and an extra street light...so keep to the topic.
What is wrong with Sc is what is wrong with most small schools, to many sports not enough kids. Its hard to compete at a decent level in all of them. Seasons overlap and not enough time to heal up from one to the other. Plus how many kids played AUU this summer? How many was getting ready for football or playing baseball?
LC on the other hand should have a good basketball program. I believe there is only one baseball player on the team. Correct me if I am wrong and how many plays football by the way?

The fact is SC doesn't have any talent on their team at all this year. That's all it is. Maybe next year but probably not.
02-12-2009, 12:24 AM
Not much talent not much coaching. Makes for a bad situation.
02-12-2009, 02:10 AM
They do have talent. They are down this year but do have talent in B.J. Moore. He is a fine player in games that I have watched.

Simply put, SC isn't very good this year. I can't help what this team may or may not have accomplished in middle school or whatever, but they just aren't that good. The talent is not there. And yes, I would expect SC to have a good year sometime! No program should be down every year for a decade or more unless something is wrong.

I would point out how immature several people are on here but I am not quite sure they would understand. I don't see where either LC or SC students need to get on here and brag about what their teams have accomplished since none of you probably even play for them. If you are students you do not need to brag about your support for your teams either, I have seen the student sections at both schools and again don't go bragging about something that is mediocre at best. We ALL live in eastern kentucky so the jibes and insults you throw back and forth pretty much are stereotypical insults from people outside of the appalachian area so thanks for contributing to that as well! Ok sorry but I had to get that off my chest so now have a nice day..

You would feel lucky to reside in LC. We have a hospital, a few dentists offices, multiple nice and clean restraunts, and we're only a few minutes from Huntington and Ashland. But I guess if you compare that to Martin Co.. There isn't much of a difference.
