Atleast our poll isn't the only poll to have Elliott in-front of Valley.

Thats crazy.

What does Holmes have to do to get some love. Their resume is much more impressive than that of Elliot County, as is Eastern's in my opinion.

Holmes is currently the best team in the state IMO.
Scott County has the most talent, but the Cards did fall to Holmes earlier in the season.

I can see why Elliott is rated ahead of SV. If I am not mistaken both teams have one instate lose. Elliott lost to a top 10 team in the state. Mr. Litkenhous's computer has no idea Justice was injured when KCC beat SV.

Before you all get all upset about these ranking, remember this is the ones that two years ago had Letcher Co. Central ranked ahead of Whitesburg and Fleming Neon. I guess the computer didnt know that they combined to make LCC. Litkenhous ratings are the joke of all ranking systems.

Nobody hates Shelby Valley. They are being ranked as one of the top teams in the state.

It is about time SV gets some respect.

I agree that Holmes should be number one over Scott Co.
Also, I think Elliott should have dropped a little bit more. I like Valley's ranking but Elliott is too high.

Just seen on sports overtime, Valley is ranked 5th and Elliott is ranked 7th. I guess it depends on which one has your favorite team ranked the highest as to which one is the best and most accurate.

this poll was probley done before the state tournment.

The Litkenhous rankings have been pretty much a joke all season. Each revision flip-flops the top 10. I have yet to see anything that establishes their criteria. It's very difficult to rank HS teams and I am sure that it is by news clippings.

That is true, and computer ratings just see that as any other loss. We human voters know better.

I agree. I am a mountian fan but no way Elliott can beat either Homes or Eastern. I think in March we will see that quick, athletic teams will win. Elliott is a great team, but does not have the horses that Holms and Eastern have.

I think Shelby Valley could beat either of them as well. On a given night the best team doesn't always win. But I do think that Eastern and Holmes would win a majority of the time against either of them.

I agree with that, and I would put Scott Co. in that same "top-level" group with Holmes and Eastern. Those three would win a majority of games against any other in-state teams.

Agreed, Valley is one of the more "athletic" teams in the state, but you can't compete with the athleticism of the city boys. From video on Holmes, I think it would be hard for the other players but Elisha and Logan to defend that team.
