Best kicker
#1
Whos the best kicker you've seen in awhile?
#2
The kid form Bell County.
#3
Steven Wright from Betsy Layne. I know not many if any has heard of em, but he will be the new kicker for BLHS this year, and he can launch the thing.
#4
The best I seen this past season was the kid at Lawrence County. He could kill the ball on kickoffs and punts.
#5
Aaron Petry from Raceland..the kid was kicking it in the endzone when he was a freshman with ease.

Wow.. Pretty good.
#7
Monte Merrick from Bell Co. was probably the best I've seen here since '04, but Middlesboro also had a kicker back in the 90's...he holds the state record for longest FG...and I can't think of his name for the life of me....I think Wynn(sp? but I am probably wrong).

The best field goal or kicker returning to kick next year is Austin Delpont of hazard.

Past Aaron Petry, Monte Merrick, Taylor Begley, JJ Housley, etc...

I agree. Watched him against Prestonsburg and he has a real leg on him.

Shane Karpensky from Powell County is a very talented kicker, not great range but can kick it anywhere he wants. Coming up on his Senior season, best I've seen in a while.

I know everyone on here thinks I am crazy because he is such a great Baseball player but he has kicked several in practice from 50 and he kicked one from 54 not using a block. He stopped using the block after about the 3 game and became more accurate with out it. He really could make a living kicking if it wasnt for baseball.

I remember when I was a sophomore we played at Raceland and he kicked it in the endzone (wasn't allowed to return it due to the rules) and the PA announcer said he was a freshman, I believe everyone from Paintsville left that night impressed with the kids name planted in the back of their minds. Also, I remember he kicked a 40+ yarder at South Floyd that hit off the concession stand roof which is about 15 yards behind the goal post

I agree.

The kid from Bell is definately the best punter I have ever seen, but will have to improve on his place kicking if he wants to be effective at Western.
#23
Owensboro junior kicker Trey Cain will be one of the best in the state the next couple of years.
#24
Shane Morris From Taylor County was good. At Caverna on kickoff he kicked it through the field goal.
