What Happen To Lee Co Last Night Lost To Harlan By 20?

Lee County seems to be struggling against any team outside their district.
I actually thought this would be a good year for Lee with the addition of Pittman. Apparently Pittman is still young and needs some more experience before he becomes the player I thought he was hyped to be. From what I hear he is good and has a lot of potential but is still a little raw and inexperienced.
I projected them to be at the top of the 14th, apparently I missed that one.
Coach Wright is a good coach that motivates the boys but they may need a little more discipline and structure. JMO

I watched Lee County play in the Country Music Highway Classic at Johnson Central and they look to have a good team, but they didn't substitute many players in, as they only brought two players off of the bench. They also made a lot of mental mistakes by trying to do too much, which lead to easy baskets for their opponents. I noticed one more thing in them and that was that they had a very young coach.
So experience looks to be the problem in Lee County, but they'll be alright when districts and regions rolls on around.

Vs Harlan Lee was without 2 starters. (suspension/injuries)
The game was closer than the final score, although Harlan led the entire game. Lee was within 3 in the third quarter when Tyler Campbell fouled out.
Charles and Pittman were the only two normal starters to play most of the game.
Charles had 27 of the 38 points.

This was the first time that I had seen Lee Co. play and I didn't think he was a ball hog, he just stepped up and took a leadership role with two of his teammates out. I think Harlan Co. is improving. There are still spurts where they seem to lose focus. I'm sure that Coach Jones will have this team ready by the time the tournament comes around. I think that Harlan Co. was more than 20 points better than this team and was surprised that during the game that they let them get so close at times. When the Bears put 4 full quarters together I think that they can be Regional contenders. I'm anxious to see that.

Lee had lost by 9 the first time these two teams played this season. Add that Lee was without 2 starters and Harlan was playing at home, 20 point difference is understandable.

I think with the 2 palyers that were out they should have been able to stay with Harlan that does not show alot for there bench and this time of the season you should have your bench ready to play thats why i dont think they will go very far in the tournment.

Who's crying?
I'm totally uninterested in your bias.
As far as Lewis co, that was a total joke.

Shocker, But Missing Starters Will Effect Any Team.

It would not have been a joke if you got to play until you won. The worse joke in the world happen in Lee Co you know the old saying what goes around comes around, The joke is on you,

Do you even know what you are talking about? Oh, I get it, you're one of those Estill County whiners. Carrying all that hate around will really eat at you, wont it?
Pelfrey and Wise, who account for over 50% of Lee's offense, didn't play vs Harlan. With the whole team playing, I really think that Lee will win if they play again.
Lee co has not been playing up to expectations. There are several opinions as to why this is so. Maybe they will turn things around soon. Everyone should be playing vs Buckhorn next Wednesday night.

Seriously, Do you think integrating a player as good as charles by calling him a ball hog will make u feel better. I mean really this kid can play and is a leader, this team will be ready for buckhorn and yes the 2 players missing Wise and Pelfrey in this game made a huge difference. IMO whiners will be whiners and winners will fight till the end.

Pelfrey is about 6'6 and a hoss inside. Yes it would be a BIG factor if he is not in the game. As far as Charles is concerned, he is a player on that team that the other kids look to. He is their leader, not a ballhog. I will agree with other posters, though, that Lee is not playing up to expectations this year. I think too much weight was put into how much Pittman would help. It looks like he is still learning, is young, and his better play is in the future.
BTW, why was Pelfrey out of the game? Is he injured?

I've heard that he had a moderate foot/ankle sprain but is well on the mend for the All A Buckhorn game this Wednesday night.
Pittman had a big two handed 'drop step' dunk in the Harlan game. He also had about 5 steals and 4 blocks. The rotations to new positions in this game was a factor and they just couldn't get the shots to fall.
Harlan is a fair team with a Klay Maggard type player -- I think that Tolson is his name; and another big body. Pelfrey was missed in the paint.
