Shelby Valley 68 Pikeville 32
#1
Final.
#2
Valley came ready to play. Pikeville was not clicking whatsoever. Would love to see some stats from this if anyone has them. I expected Valley to take it but they ran AWAY with it.

#3
I don't have any stats, but I was told the score was 43-10 at the half.

This is a little more like what people expected out of Valley once Swindall became eligible.

It was good to see Valley finally put some of game practice situations in the game. They passed the ball very well. I even heard them being vocal on defense. They didn't miss a beat with substitutions. Nothing to complain about in this game but the popcorn. Great job

Did expect Valley to win. Not in a blowout though.

Congrats Shelby Valley!

It definitely was not the game that I expected either. I went myself because I figured that it would be a great district matchup. Swindall had 6 or 8 out of the first 10 points for Valley I believe. They fed the ball to the paint and banked them in left and right. Good passing for Valley to get a nice look at a shot.

If anyone can get their hands on the stats or even the newspaper article when it comes out, I'd really appreciate having some numbers.

Halftime stats 41-10 SV.
SV out rebounded PHS 29-3 in 1st half.
PHS 9 TOs in 1st half.

I think Swindell finished with 21 points and probably double digit rebounds.

At least the girls' team outscored the boys' team.

I don't know what Coach Rowe said to these girls the last two practices (after Magoffin Co. game) but it worked. Kinda like Rich Brooks situation - can't be said publicly!!!! Our passing and rebounding has a long way to go but Valley girls are pulling it together and will be a team to be reckoned with in the 15th Region - if they continue playing like they did last night. Great game for the the Lady Cats . . .

Congrats Valley

This was by far the best that I've seen SV play this year hope they keep it up. Yes the popcorn was awful.

Valley shot 55.4 from the field. 33.3 from three land.

This is just a glimps of how good SV can be.

Ladies you looked good last night. Keep up the good work and hope you have a great season! Brittany proved how much of an asset she is to the team.

Congrats Valley on the win!I thought that was the best the team has played together so far this year.Swindall had a great game, the play of perkins at the point really impressed me,she passed the ball as well as you could have asked. The team is starting to really come together, good job Rowe & Alvin on having them ready for a big district game.
#17
where has swindell been all our life. man, she made us 40 points better than before. if everyone will just fall in behind her, i think we can win not only the class A but the 15th region also. we were impressive to say the least and i think that phelps can now stop talking that trash.

Is Valley that good or Pikeville that bad ?

Pikeville is not a bad team - starter Christina Johnson recently scored her 1000th point. They also have Schull(?not sure of spelling), Isner, Lawson and Francisco - which are all great players. Valley girls had a great night and hopefully will continue to improve with the addition of Swindall.
