Covington Catholic led throughout its game Friday against Lexington Lafayette until the final three minutes, when the Generals took control for a 55-51 victory.


Lafayette sophomore guard Dee Yarbrough made a basket to put his team ahead 48-47 as the Generals outscored CovCath 23-10 in the fourth quarter.

Yarbrough led his team in scoring with 15 points. Teammate Tanner Napier added 14 points.

Covington Catholic senior forward Luke Maile had the game high, 29 points.
